Here's some helpful information about ranking. This info is in the Help section that's accessed through the Setting button in the game.
I'm at player level 106 and I'm working level 3690. My highest score on a level is 276. I'm not sure how I got a score that high when the friend behind me has been playing for years and has a high score of 64. I think that could be due to changes taking place in the game over the years because she's on level 2710 and it seems like she should be at a higher ranked level. I don't worry about things like rank, though, I don't have many friends that play. It's just interesting.
